Kirk In Perry, GA Writes...

I saw a bright white/pale yellowish fireball last night (Apr 2nd 2011)
for only seconds in Perry, GA.  Was outside looking West.  Not sure of
the exact time. I'd guess around 8:00 - 8:30 pm.  Too big and too low in
the sky to be the "shooting stars" I've seen before.  It was a round ball
of fire with a wide tail travelling straight down. thank you Kirk!

This event may also have been witnessed from South Carolina...see

Humboldt Arizona, n-ne sky large fireball, very bright,  wide tail distinctive fiery object at the bottom. Appeared quite large traveling straight down April 2 2011 @ approximately 21:30 local time.  thank you for your e-mail Dave!

Anonymous Writes...At approximately 9:30 pm CST on April 2, 2011 my wife and I were traveling north on Hwy 67 towards Miles, TX and saw at least 10 different red/orange lights appear in the sky at different times and then seem to burn out. They were not streaking down like a meteor or streaking up like a firework. They would just appear and then slowly disappear. I have no idea what they were.
