From The ELPALLSKY "Chat Window":
May 28 2011, 11:30 PM (guest): John G, at around 1215 am I saw a flash of green light in Austin Texas on the outskirts of Westlake. It looked to be headed down and seemed to have landed near my house. I'll have to go take a look tomorrow morning

My name is Vinh and I live in Katy, TX. It was shortly after midnight this past Saturday 5/29 that my son and I both saw a bright object that shot across the southern sky and appeared to have touched down on earth. We heard no sound at all but the object was very bright, sort of blueish/greenish white color that was much larger than a typical shooting start across the sky. We have not seen anything on the news regarding this. Any info you can confirm and share with us would be much appreciated!
M. Ranch-Texas:
Minutes after midnight Saturday nite (now Sun.May 29) about 12: 01-10 am, my friend and I were taking a walk thru our neighborhood (Mopac & Slaughter-Austin,Tx.) We left the house heading from west to east looking at the beautiful stars when suddenly right above us the most brilliant white ball of lite came streaking across the nite sky heading from west to east. The height appeared to resemble a large jet on its landing approach (no sound though). The large lite appeared to head in the direction of our downtown Hwy.71 & Congress Av.). The entire event for us lasted 3-5 seconds and it was "Awe-inspiring"!
Joey R.-Deweyville, TX:
was camped on a sandbar on the sabine river above deweyville (southeast texas) and it was late in the evening, looking south i saw a huge meteor, not your average shooting star, this was a fireball. I have never seen anything like it, it shot across the sky low and into the treeline and disappeared. i didnt hear anything, but i thought that surely there would be an impact. It went from east to west near orion. this was on 5-29-11, probably close to midnight. didnt notice the color other than it was like a fireball, breaking up and leaving a trail, quite spectacular. not green, more like white/orange and fiery.
