Bright Blue Fireball Seen From AZ and CA ~04:30 a.m. PDT-MST 12JUL2011
E-mail From:
Mrs. L.-Phoenix AZ:
~430 am, moonless. LARGE meteor falling nearly perpendicular to earth in the NNW sky. The "tail" of the meteor was far wider than any I had ever seen and glowed for a long time after the meteor had passed. Light emission appeared bluish white. Spectacular! thank you Mrs. L.!
Kenny T.-Central CA:
Driving east in Hanford, CA just before 4:30 my brother and I both saw a huge blue fireball falling from the sky and it only lasted a few seconds. We were seriously freaking out! thanks for the confirmation Kenny!
