Green Pennsylvania Meteor Fireball 03DEC2011

Email From:
Chelsea B.-Somerset, PA:
Saw a large green gaseous "fireball" falling low in the sky a little after 8 EST near Somerset, PA. I'm not very good with directions but I think it was "falling" northward.  Thanks Chelsea! If there are other witnesses to this event, we want to hear from you...send report to wxtx01@gmail.com THANKS!!

We saw the green light in the sky...it looked like a shooting star but was very fast. We were driving on interstate 79 South heading toward Washington, PA. I have never seen anything like it.

I saw this meteor too at a restaurant parking lot across from Cabela's in Wheeling WV. It was very green and large in the sky. It's a mall area so you can't really see the stars and this thing stuck out in the sky. Lasted about 2 seconds.

i saw what i thought was a shooting star. but as it fell it got brighter and brighter with a long fiery tail, it appeared to break apart, as it went behind the treeline it was bright enough to be seen thru the trees. William Myers greensboro, GA

My boyfriend and I saw this one. We were on the PA turnpike heading east, almost to Irwin just before 8 PM. We saw a large green fireball; it appeared almost directly ahead of us and seemed to fall fast towards the south, lost it behind the hills.
