Six members of my family (3 adults) saw large green fireball arcing over SW sky in Hampshire County, WV about 11pm Sunday, May 29. It had orange/red fiery tail. Really amazing.
I also saw a large green fireball flying over Sarver, Pennsylvania in Butler County at around 11pm. My friends said it was a firework and that I was full of it but I was sure of what I saw. I'm happy to see that it was sighted in neighboring states so as to dismiss their fireworks theory. :)
I saw a fire blue meteor with a orange firey tail fly across the sky in a small town in Staunton, VA. It was really large and flying low and amazing to see.
I heard about an asteroid on the news this morning and it reminded me of one I had seen recently. Because it was such an amazing site I had wanted to do a search to get some more information on it and found this site. I also saw this amazing asteroid on Sunday night May 29 about 11:00pm. We had a neighborhood block party that night and several people were still sitting around and witnessed it. It was a HUGE "shooting star" like I'd never seen before. I would also describe it as a large green fireball with a very long fiery red/orange tail. It crossed the sky for a very long distance and seeme to last a long time. (Long enough for us to get everyone's attention and they saw it too) I live in Lost Creek, WV which is about 100 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA.
