On October 17th, Asteroid 2009TM8, 5 to 11 meters in size, will pass between the moon and Earth. While there is no danger of the main body impacting Earth, debris generated by the collision which knocked the rock out of it's asteroid belt orbit may intersect Earth's orbit possibly generating an increase in green fireball activity a day or two before and after it's pass. Stay alert for increased fireball activity from 15OCT2011 to 20OCT2011.

I saw the strangest 'thing' on Oct 6, 2011. It was exactly 5:14 a.m. I was driving, but at a stop. There when I looked back up and started to accelerate I saw a huge and I mean huge thing. I immediately braked again. I gazed at this object for about 10 seconds, maybe longer before it was hidden from view by trees. It appeared very low on the horizon. It was a blueish ball with a long, long tail. It was speeding parallel to the horizon. It was not falling, but rather traveling. It was so close seemingly. It was like watching a plane really close dragging behind it a banner. It was so long. This happened in N.Y that I saw it. I believe it was traveling north. DID ANYONE SEE THIS. I tell everyone I see but of course at 5:14 a.m. not many people are up and out. But someone else had to have seen this strange sight in the sky. It was not green!~ It was more of a blue with a tail. It was a life-changing experience for sure. Very, Very cool.
