I live in virginia beach, Va and approximately around 11 pm or so i stepped out on my front porch and saw a huge meteor ball i would say roughly 3/4 size of the moon in comparison and it had bright orange flames trailing off of it. The ball lit the sky in green and then looked like it started to break apart. it lasted about 5 seconds.     thank you guest 365! Other Reports Needed !!!

I live in Blackstone VA (23824) which is west of VA Beach.  At 11 PM I was going in the house and happened to look at the eastern sky.  There was a comet/meteor/space junk fireball moving across the sky from south to north.  It had an orange/red halo around it and the center was green.  It was probably about ½ the size of a full moon.     thank you Jaime!

***If you are searching for information about this fireball and witnessed it, please leave a report of what you saw at wxtx01@gmail.com Please include the date and time, the direction you were facing/driving, the direction in which the object moved (upper left to lower right etc.) approximate size and brightness compared to a full moon, color, any flashes, streaks, fragmentation and any sounds or delayed sounds such as sonic booms, hisses, sizzles etc. Thank you! Your information is vital to research/recovery efforts so please take time to report.***

Saw the same thing at 0405, 20 August while heading out of Rudee Inlet. From north to south about a 15 degree down angle moving in a straight line, green ball with long orange and white trail. Lit up the sky and then disappeared over Sandbridge.
