Jessika P.-Stephenville, Texas:
Hello, I live in Stephenville, Texas.  Last night I was outside, facing west and then around 11:30pm something was moving quickly to my south - shoutheast.  It only lasted a few seconds - 5 at the most. At first it was a small white ball of light, then a larger white ball, turning red/orange, and finally a green tint.  It fell behind a tree line at this point.  I tried to listen for it to hit the ground, but a neighbor stared their car up around the time I believe a noise could have been heard.  It was several miles from me I am sure, although I do not know how many.  Very cool though!!!  I was running into my front yard to keep my eye on it!!  Amazing!!  I would love to figure out how to go find it, and see if anything with standed an impact. Thank you,    thank you for this heads up Jessika!

Luis C.-Fair Oaks Ranch, TX:
I live in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas (West of San Antonio), zip code 78015.  Saturday night, 06/18/2011, my wife and I were in our swimming pool, at about 11:30 pm or so, when I, who was facing North, saw what appeared to be a large ball of fire streaking downward toward the horizon, travelling downward at a 4 o’clock angle, left to right.  What I saw was a bright white ball with visible flames on each side of it.  The flames were red to orange and very distinct around the left and right sides of the ball.  It was so large that I have to believe it was very close to the earth’s surface.  Just to give you a frame of reference to size, the size of the fireball compared to stars in the sky was similar to the head of a thumbtack compared to a basketball.   It lasted only about 4 seconds before falling behind the tree line and was lost to sight.   Afterwards we googled “fireball in the sky, July 18, 2011” we found references to it on your website.  It would be very interesting to know what it was and where, if it was a meteorite, it came down, as it seemed so close to our location.
