hi at around 8 30 pm tonight, 6 nov 2011 i saw a very fast very bright, and either very close or very large object streak accross the sky over my house, in bear river nova scotia, it was travelling north east as a rough guess and it was so close and so bright that i thought it was a firework, but it moved too fast and straight i checked outside, no people around, no smell or noise of fireworks anywhere, i just wondered if anyone else saw it,  funny thing is that it seemed more rounded that i have ever seen a falling star so maybe it was a meteor? if anyone else saw it please let me know, thanks, Dave  Thanks Dave...OTHERS? Hi there,
I was walking my dog in the dark field next to my place and I happened to see it. A bright circular white light headed straight downwards, quickly.
I was'nt sure I had really seen what I just saw. (If that makes any sense to you... )
A multitude of different things passed through my mind of what it could have been, from the rational to the insane. (It was really fast, and I did'nt have enough time to focus on the object 100%) Anything from a shooting star, to a fallen piece of a satellite, to me having a brain tumour 'phenomenon' style (lol), and even aliens...
I saw it anywhere between 8h25 and 8h35, so the timing is right.
I saw it from Sydney, NS. Saw it fall North-West.. with a lot more emphasis on the West.  Thank you Valerie. Confirmation!

i read what Mary from mississippi saw...and i saw this exact thing too.

on october 17th about 9:30pm i was driving down gaspereau mtn, nova scotia. travelling north. i saw a floating white ball of light in the sky.. then it started moving northerly but slowly! it looked like a ginormous shooting star only way way bigger and a lot slower.. there was no tail. there was no explosion. the light did not dim out, it simply dissappeared behind the trees. i slowed right down to a stop as i was driving. this thing scared me. it was nothing ive ever seen before .i got chills man. what was it?!!!?   Thanks Ashley! Saw a bright green fireball towards the Bay of Fundy, near Middleton Nova Scotia. It lasted maybe 3-5 seconds, was bright white at first then flared out in a bright green ball of fire.

I too saw the meteor reported over Fundy Bay Sept 9 2011 from the Cutler Maine coast. I was on the deck marveling at the waves from passing storm Katia under the nearly full moonlight when I observed the meteor passing to the south west basically opposite the transatlantic route for aircraft. It was an intense green color and large in size compared to any other celestial objects I have ever witnessed. The time coincides with your mark. An exciting and marvelous sight indeed especially in conjunction with the crashing surf. I am glad to see someone else saw this rare spectacle. I did not hear any audible noise from this object but it certainly would have been drowned out by the surf.

Good afternoon, My name is Danielle. Saturday evening I was watching some tv in my living room and noticed that the neighbourhood was suddenly light up with a reddish glow, with a minor flicker. My first assumption was that there must be some firetrucks down the street but once I looked out the window, I saw this bright red ball of fire, going through the sky, about half the size of a full moon, and just before it went over the tree line, it appeared to loose it’s glow, but you could still see it, it looked like it had a slight wiggle from side to side to it, before I lost sight of it over the tree line. It was just a matter of seconds, I had my iphone in my hand and attempted to access my camera, but it was gone before I had a chance to photograph it. I’ve never seen anything like this before, it was breath taking!
