I also had a sighting in Orange County, CA of a meteor/falling star at around 11 pm on June 6, 2011. I was facing NW. The object traveled SW at a 40 degree angle downward. It was bright, colored red and blue (like fire) with no sounds.
thank you Wendy!
Melinda-Thousand Oaks, CA:
Hi, I'm in Thousand Oaks California and saw the fireball streak across the sky last night June 6 at about 11pm. It appeared to be a large white ball with a short bright red tail shooting down to the east (I was facing north). I would have thought it was an aircraft coming down but for the speed. I almost expected to hear it crash into the earth! Amazing!
great report. thank you Melinda! others?
